Apply for the Audit competition (AD7)

The European Union is looking for experts in the field of audit to join its civil service. 

The European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) is launching an open competition to draw up a reserve list from which the institutions, bodies, and agencies of the European Union can recruit new members of the civil service as administrators (grade AD7).

As an administrator in the field of audit, your tasks may include: 

  • Contributing to strategic and annual audit planning, including identifying and prioritising audit topics based on risk analysis and organisational objectives.
  • Executing internal and external audits, covering compliance, performance (value for money), and financial aspects.
  • Carrying out IT systems audits.
  • Assessing the effectiveness, efficiency, and economy of the auditee’s financial management, governance, risk management, and internal control systems.
  • Drafting and presenting audit reports, opinions, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  • Leading and coordinating audit assignments, including task allocation, supervision of team members, performance assessment, and monitoring of time budgets and work quality.
  • Developing and improving audit methodologies, tools, and knowledge management.
  • Participating in quality assurance and peer review activities in line with international professional audit standards.

The application period opens on 14 April 2026 and the deadline is 19 May 2026, at 12.00 (midday), Brussels time.

Candidates must upload a scanned copy of their valid identity card or passport by 19 May 2026 at 12.00 (midday), Brussels time, and scanned copies of the documents supporting the declarations made in their application by 30 September 2026 at 12:00 (midday), Brussels time.
