Viimeaikaiset muutokset EPSOn toiminnassa ovat johtaneet siihen, että viime aikoina on julkaistu erilaisia kannanottoja ja kommentteja. Seuraavassa on selvennykseksi EPSOn hallintoneuvoston kanta:

• Toimielimet ovat edelleen sitoutuneet malliin, jossa EU:n virkamiehet valitaan täysin avoimesti ja henkilöstösääntöjen mukaisesti toteutettavilla kilpailuilla.

• EPSOn avointen kilpailujen järjestäminen on keskeytetty ainoastaan teknisistä syistä. EPSOa on pyydetty jatkamaan kilpailujen järjestämistä mahdollisimman pian ja hyödyntämään häiriönkestävää ja luotettavaa koejärjestelmää, jolla voidaan parantaa hakijoiden käyttäjäkokemusta.

• Toimielimet ovat sitoutuneet monikielisyyteen päivittäisessä työssään ja valintamenettelyissä henkilöstösääntöjen ja EU:n tuomioistuinten oikeuskäytännön mukaisesti. EPSOa on pyydetty toimimaan kaikilta osin näiden periaatteiden mukaisesti.

EPSO is happy to inform that the deadline for applications for the competition Administrators in the field of nuclear energy | EU Careers (europa.eu) has been extended to Friday, 8 December 2023, at 12:00 (midday) Brussels time.

The decision to extend the application deadline follows the request of the competition’s Selection Board.

EPSO had been planning a new testing session on 24 November 2023 for those candidates who had technical issues during the initial testing period. However, in agreement with the Selection Board of the competition in question, EPSO has decided to postpone this testing session in view of the fact that adequate testing conditions cannot currently be fully guaranteed as regards the online platform made available to EPSO by its external contractor. Candidates concerned by this decision will also be informed via their formal EPSO accounts.

EPSO was planning a new testing session for candidates of the Economics competition on 13 November 2023. In agreement with the Selection Board of the competition in question, EPSO decided to postpone this testing session in view of the fact that, currently, adequate testing conditions cannot be fully guaranteed as regards the online platform made available to EPSO by its external contractor.

This affects the following fields under the competition:

Microeconomics/macroeconomics (Administrators)

Financial economics (Administrators)

Industrial economics (Administrators)

EPSO identified an important translation mistake in the SK language version of the notice of competition for Administrators in the field of transport | EU Careers (europa.eu).

With a view to providing interested candidates with the best possible opportunity to apply, EPSO decided to extend the application period for this competition until 5 December 2023 at 12:00 (midday), Brussels time. This extension is applicable to all interested candidates.

EPSO is correcting the mistake and will soon publish the accurate SK language version of the relevant provision of the notice of competition.

On syytä muistaa, että kaikkien valintalautakuntien työskentely ja keskustelut ovat luottamuksellisia, ja että kukaan valintalautakuntaan kuulumaton henkilö ei saa yrittää ottaa yhteyttä valintalautakunnan jäseniin. Ainoastaan muutoksenhakuoikeuttaan käyttävät hakijat voivat (EPSOn kautta) kirjallisesti ja avoimia kilpailuja koskevissa yleisissä säännöissä vahvistettujen menettelyjen mukaisesti esittää huomautuksensa valintalautakunnan puheenjohtajalle.

EPSO’s Candidate Contact Service team is currently working very hard and focusing on processing complaints received in the context of a few recent open competitions (linked to technical difficulties during the testing sessions).
