The European institutions are seeking translators (grade AD 5) for Danish (DA), Greek (EL), English (EN), Spanish (ES), French (FR), Italian (IT), Maltese (MT), and Dutch (NL). This notice covers eight competitions and candidates may only apply for one of them.

As a translator, your primary role is to deliver high-quality translations and provide linguistic services that help the institution, body, or agency achieve its mission. Your tasks may include translating from at least two source languages into the target language, revising translations, editing, addressing linguistic quality issues, conducting terminology research, supporting training initiatives, and contributing to the development of IT tools. The often complex texts typically cover political, legal, economic, financial, scientific, and technical subjects related to the EU’s activities. You may also work on localising communication materials or subtitling. These duties require extensive use of specialised IT tools.
