Before starting your application, you must indicate the following in your account:

• -  in “My CV”: at least 2 official EU languages in the “Language Skills” AND at least 1 “Education and Training” AND a copy of your ID document
• -  for internal candidates only: check that you have inserted your personal email address in “My Profile”

Once this information is completed, you will be able to start the application normally.

Test rescheduling is only possible in cases of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances beyond the candidate’s control that prevent taking the test.

In such cases, the candidate must contact EPSO without delay, between receipt of the invitation letter and no later than the complaint deadline indicated in the relevant Notice of Competition or Call for Expression of Interest. Supporting documentary evidence covering the test date is required.

Please note that professional commitments or travel plans (private or professional) are not considered exceptional circumstances.

When filling in the application form, you must select the languages in which you want to sit the tests. For most competitions, you will need to choose two different languages (Language 1 and Language 2), in line with the “Languages used in this competition” section of the Notice of Competition (NoC).

You can usually select any two of the 24 official EU languages, so choose the ones in which you will perform best. For linguists’ competitions, specific language requirements may apply. Always check the NoC for the rules applicable to your competition.

Please note that your language choices cannot be changed after the application deadline.

• Clicking “Apply” will prompt you to log into your unique EPSO Account. If you don’t have one, you can create it at that time.

• You can then register in the contract staff database by completing an application form.

• When recruitment needs arise, EPSO searches the database and creates a shortlist of candidates matching the job requirements.

• Shortlisted candidates take reasoning skills tests (verbal, numerical, and abstract). Successful candidates may be invited for an interview with the recruiting institution and potentially hired.

• Test invitations and other updates are posted in your EPSO Account. You can also subscribe on the profile page to receive notifications.

• You may also apply directly for contract staff job vacancies and be invited to sit the tests. However, passing the tests is required to be hired.

3. Se trabalhou para uma instituição da UE no passado, a sua conta EU Login está provavelmente associada a um antigo identificador único. Verifique essas informações na secção «A minha conta» de EU Login. 
   Se tiver sido este o caso, deve criar uma conta EU Login nova.
4. Se ainda não criou uma conta EU Login com um método de autenticação de dois fatores (dispositivo móvel ou plataforma de confiança), a sua conta não está preparada para aceder ao Portal Único do Candidato. Acrescente um método de autenticação de dois fatores ao seu perfil EU Login.

Certifique-se de que o endereço de correio eletrónico utilizado para criar a conta EU Login é um endereço de correio eletrónico privado. A utilização de um endereço de correio eletrónico institucional pode levar à perda de acesso à sua conta EU Login e, consequentemente, ao Portal Único do Candidato.

Os candidatos podem receber ajudas de custo para as suas despesas em conformidade com as condições estabelecidas na diretiva interna da Comissão.

Os candidatos devem preencher cuidadosamente o formulário de pedido de ajudas de custo se considerarem que reúnem as condições para receber esse contributo financeira.

Para os candidatos com necessidades especiais, o formulário de pedido de ajudas de custo será anexado à convocatória para as provas enviada por correio eletrónico.
