Períodos de prácticas en las instituciones y agencias
Las prácticas ofrecidas por las instituciones europeas se consideran una oportunidad para los titulados. Este programa ofrece una visión única de las instituciones de la UE y atrae a candidatos de toda la Unión. A las personas interesadas en la gobernanza europea y las relaciones internacionales, y que quieran adquirir experiencia práctica en el desarrollo de políticas que influyen en millones de personas, les recomendamos que presenten su candidatura a un período de prácticas que se organiza dos veces al año y suele durar cinco meses. Los períodos de prácticas de la UE son remunerados; el sueldo varía en función de la organización anfitriona (aproximadamente 1 300 euros al mes).
Características principales
Se han concebido para titulados que quieran participar en las actividades fundamentales de la Unión Europea. Los becarios se destinan a diversas instituciones, agencias y organismos de la UE, donde contribuirán a proyectos que se ajusten a sus conocimientos especializados. Este programa instruye sobre el proceso de toma de decisiones y las políticas de la UE, ofrece oportunidades de creación de redes con profesionales y permite vivir la experiencia de un entorno dinámico y multicultural, y desarrollar valiosas capacidades profesionales.
Los becarios ejercen su actividad en ámbitos muy diversos, desde la administración pública hasta la ciberseguridad, las iniciativas de transformación digital o la salud, pasando por el Derecho, el espacio, la política económica y las iniciativas sobre el cambio climático. Las prácticas pueden centrarse también en otros ámbitos, como la traducción, la comunicación, los recursos humanos y la diplomacia.
Suponen una oportunidad de mejorar las capacidades profesionales colaborando con equipos multiculturales y contribuyendo significativamente a proyectos que importan y al propio crecimiento personal.

Traineeships - EUROFOUND
Eurofound’s post-graduate traineeship programme is addressed to recent university graduates, without excluding those who – in the framework of lifelong learning – have recently obtained their university qualification and are at the beginning of a new professional career.
12 trainee profiles are offered in 2025 – 11 for placement in Research:
Working life: Industrial relations; Working conditions Survey 2024 – data analysis; Minimum Wage database; Social Dialogue Network; Social Dialogue Network / Communication; Working Time in Europe.
Employment: European Restructuring Monitor databases; Change (anticipating & managing impact);
Social policies: Living conditions & quality of life; Social cohesion & convergence; Surveys.
as well as 1 profile in the Information & Communication unit in the Web team.
Applications are valid until end of 2025. Shortlisted candidates may be contacted for online interviews, throughout the year, according to business needs.
Duration: 6-month traineeships are offered and can be extended up to a maximum of 12 months.
Grants: In the 2025 programme, Trainees are paid a monthly grant of €1,929.58.
Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for a graduate traineeship, you must:
- Be a national of a Member State of the EU.
- have a very good knowledge of at least two EU languages, of which one should be English - the working language of Eurofound.
- Have recently obtained a university degree.
Trainees do not benefit from sickness insurance. Before the start of your traineeship, you must prove you are covered by a sickness and accident insurance.
Traineeships are not offered to applicants who have already been a trainee or an employee in a European institution or body, for more than six weeks.

The EIT is now launching a call for application for its traineeship programme for a period of six months for an intake at the beginning of 2025.
The trainee will support the daily operations of the Directorate & Administration as well as the Innovation, Education & Communication and the Knowledge and Innovation Communities Departments.
The place of employment will be Budapest, Hungary, where the EIT Headquarters are located. For the case of the Communication & Engagement Unit, there is a possibility for one of the trainees to be assigned to work from the EIT Liaison Office in Brussels, Belgium.

The CBE JU operates a traineeship programme. The programme gives trainees an understanding of the CBE JU and its role within the activities of the European Union, enables them to acquire practical knowledge of the CBE JU and obtain professional experience in the course of their work.
The CBE JU wishes to host two trainees to support the Programme Unit and one trainee to support the Communications team.
Who can apply?
- Nationals of a Member State of the European Union
- Applicants must have a university degree or its equivalent by the closing date for applications (attested by a diploma/other relevant certificate)
- Applicants must not have already benefited or benefit from any kind of in-service training within a European institution or body, nor have had or have any kind of employment within a European institution or body.
Traineeship periods
Programme Unit: from March to August 2025 and from September 2025 to February 2026
Communications team: from February to July 2025
Paid: Yes. The CBE JU pays a monthly grant of EUR 1.418,19 net per month and will pay a travel allowance to compensate the expenses incurred at the beginning and at the end of the traineeship from the place of residence.

There are approximatively 12 traineeship opportunities per year in the different legal and administrative fields relevant for the Agency such as: casework, GEN/JITs/EJN network secretariat, data management, communications, corporate affairs, financial, human resources, events organisation, IT and administrative law.
Who can apply: University graduates who are nationals of a Member State or candidate countries. Candidates should have a good knowledge of English (minimum B2 level) as the working language of Eurojust.
Duration: 5 months
Paid: Yes. Approximatively 1 500€ per month

The traineeship programme aims to provide trainees with work experience in the field of maritime safety legislation, response to pollution at sea and cooperation among member states in safety at sea matters. In-service training enables trainees to acquire practical experience by means of their work and put into practice the knowledge they have acquired during their academic studies or professional careers in the areas of maritime safety, communication or administration.
Who can apply: Nationals of EU Member States, Iceland, Norway and candidate countries benefiting from a pre-acession strategy, who have a good knowledge of English. Candidates must have completed the first cycle of a higher education course (university education) and obtained a full degree.
Duration: 6-12 months

Fusion for Energy (F4E) is the European Union’s organisation managing Europe’s contribution to ITER, the world’s largest scientific partnership that aims to demonstrate fusion as a viable and sustainable source of energy. ITER brings together seven parties that represent half of the world’s population – the EU, Russia, Japan, China, India, South Korea, and the United States.
F4E also supports fusion research and development initiatives through the Broader Approach Agreement, signed with Japan – a fusion energy partnership which will last for 10 years.
Ultimately, F4E will contribute towards the construction of demonstration fusion reactors.
What are the selection requirements?
- To be national of a Member State of the European Union. This call is also open to candidates from Ukraine.
- Have obtained a university degree within the last three (3) years before the closing date for applications.
- Have a good knowledge of English, minimum level B2 according to Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR).
- Have never been a trainee (paid or unpaid) and/or have never had any other kind of employment in any European Institution before.
Duration: from 6 to 12 months, renewable.
Paid: Yes. The selected trainees receive a monthly grant according to the cost-of-living of each location plus compensation of travel expenses at the beginning and at end of the traineeship.
