AD7 Audit competition: over 7000 applications received

More than 7000 people applied for the AD7 specialist competition for auditor profiles that closed for application on 19 May 2026. We want to thank all candidates for their interest in the competition. 

We are aware of a technical glitch that affected some candidates – we are now reviewing all individual cases. If you wrote to us, we will revert to you in due time. We kindly ask you not to send any reminders.

We know many of you have been waiting for updates on the AD5 Graduates selection procedure, and we are pleased to share the next step.

Testing for the AD5 Graduates selection procedure will start in autumn 2026.
The exact dates will be communicated to candidates in due time in the coming months.

Update on Requests for Review

Due to the exceptionally high number of Requests for Review submitted for Competition EPSO/AD/413/24 (all fields), we wish to inform candidates that processing these requests will take longer than usual.

To ensure our team can work as efficiently as possible, we kindly ask that candidates refrain from contacting the Selection Board, EPSO’s Director, or EPSO staff for individual updates. Doing so will not accelerate the process, as responses will be provided only once all requests have been thoroughly reviewed.

AD5 graduates: EPSO is evaluating different scenarios and timelines

Many candidates in the AD5 graduate competition are contacting us or their Member States authorities to ask about the next steps of the competition, especially given the unprecedented number of applicants. At EPSO, we are committed to ensuring a fair and smooth testing process. We are actively reviewing different scenarios for organising the tests, as well as alternative timelines, to ensure the process works well for everyone.

Instructions for online testing (by OAT) available in English and French

We have added the OAT Instructions for online testing on the Prepare for the online tests page.

The guide is available as an English and a French PDF file. This guide is also sent to the candidates when they are invited to the tests.

EU Knowledge Test material available 2 months before test

The EU knowledge test consists of a multiple-choice questionnaire covering the European Union, its institutions, procedures, and main policies. 

References to the sources used to develop this test will be made available on the EPSO website approximately two months before the test date.

Retesting date for candidates who encountered technical problems - 11/03/2026

EPSO has decided to offer a retest to candidates (EPSO/AD/425/25 competition) who experienced technical issues during the test session and reported these issues to EPSO before 30/01/2026 23:59 Brussels time.

The retesting session will take place on 16 April 2026.

Translator competitions: state of play

In light of recent reporting, we would like to provide all candidates with an update on the current state of play of the translator competitions (EPSO/AD/414-421/24 – 8 languages).

The competitions have concluded, and all reserve lists have been published on the EU Careers website.

The competitions aimed to establish reserve lists of successful candidates across several language profiles, as specified in the respective Notice of Competition.
