What happens if I am readmitted after review but the competition has already progressed to the next step?

If you received an acknowledgment of receipt after you sent your initial complaint, you should not send a reminder unless a significant time has passed since you wrote.
The replies to review can take several weeks to prepare. The Selection Board must meet to decide, and only after that are the replies prepared and sent.

What should I do if I feel that I was not treated fairly during my competition due to my difference(s)?

Not all tests are identical, is that fair?
When different written tests are used in the same competition (e.g. translation tests) these tests are chosen so that they have a similar level of difficulty.
I have a perfect command of the language, my score should be higher
Since the standard required is very high and the competition rigorous, you need to have excellent writing skills in your main language, excellent reading and comprehension skills in your source language(s) and possibly cultural knowledge in both your target and source language(s) or the ability to specialize in one or several subject areas.
I am an experienced translator, my score should be higher
Your test result is based on your performance on the day of the test and you cannot invoke your professional experience or your qualifications in order to successfully challenge the Selection Board's decision on your performance.
I believe there is a material error in the scoring of my test (eg I received another candidate's score/my complete test may not have been marked)
Before communicating results, the Selection Board will have verified, approved and validated them.
The comments are too limited, i need further explanations on my score
You should already have received both scores and comments in your results letter. No further comment will be provided.
Why is my score so low for my preliminary test?
Firstly, your personal conviction as to how your test should have been evaluated is subjective and cannot replace the Selection Board's assessment. It does not constitute irrefutable evidence of manifest error committed by the Board.
Different elements can explain the score awarded by the Selection Board, which is based on the pre-established evaluation criteria and the marker's comments:
In the case of translation tests, for example, marks are deducted for:
- Omissions
- Mistakes in meaning, grammar, terminology, register
- Difficulties in conveying the sense of the passage
- Lacks the vocabulary required by the passage for translation
- Incomplete translation
- etc.
You should take into account that, from a legal point of view
- The marking is generally done on an anonymous basis by qualified markers on the basis of a “marking grid”
- Markers are given strict guidelines in terms of standards of quality
- Marks are deducted for mistakes (translation tests)
