AD5 Graduates selection process: how you are assessed
The AD5 Graduates selection process consists of two parts.
Part 1 – Reasoning tests
To continue to part 2, you must achieve the required pass scores:

| Numerical + Abstract reasoning (combined) | 10/20 |
Part 2 – Remaining tests
- EU knowledge test
- Digital skills test
- EU Field-Related Test (EUFTE)
To remain in the competition, you must achieve the required pass scores:

| Digital skills | 20/40 |
| EUFTE | 5/10 |
Preliminary scoring
Candidates who achieve all the required pass scores are ranked based on:
| Test | Weight |
|---|---|
| Verbal reasoning | 40% |
| EU knowledge | 30% |
| Digital skills | 30% |
Only the highest-ranked candidates from the preliminary ranking proceed to the next step, where:
- the EUFTE is scored; and
- eligibility requirements are checked.
Final scoring
The final ranking is based on:

| Verbal reasoning | 35% |
| EU knowledge | 25% |
| Digital skills | 25% |
| EUFTE | 15% |
Candidates with the highest final scores who meet all eligibility requirements are included on the reserve list.
