Computer-based admission tests – most important points to remember
Dear candidates,
Please find here some tips for your computer-based tests.
Good luck for your tests!
Most important points to remember before you go to the test centre:
• Arrive at least 30 minutes in advance.
• The address of the test centre is provided via a link in your booking confirmation.
• Don’t forget to take your booking confirmation printed from your EPSO account and a valid ID document with a photo (please check the instructions linked to the booking invitation to see which documents are accepted)
• In the test centre, you will be provided with an erasable board and markers, as well as a calculator on the table and on the computer screen. You will not be allowed to use your own pen, paper, or calculator. All your personal belongings will have to be placed in a locker.
• Timing of the tests and number of questions: you should plan for a total appointment time of approximately 150 minutes. Time allowed per test and the number of questions can be found in the instructions linked to the booking invitation.
• Languages: you will take your tests in the languages you selected in your application. The instructions on the computer screen will be provided in your language 2. To check which languages you selected, click on your candidate number in your EPSO account and you will see them in your application form. No changes are possible after validation of your application.
• Number of points and pass marks: please check the Notice of open competition
• Results: all results are processed by Prometric and sent to EPSO only after all candidates have sat their tests. The test results for candidates having special accommodation (such as visually impaired candidates, etc.) have to be evaluated manually and all test results are calculated and approved by the Selection Board during a special meeting. The Selection Board also decides on possible neutralisations of test items contested by candidates during or straight after testing, following which the results may need to be recalculated. Any unforeseen, unexpected events happening during testing (such as fire alarms, strikes, civil unrest etc.) may lead to the extension of the testing period as all candidates affected have to be contacted and (re)tested on an individual basis. The whole procedure can take from several days to several weeks. The results are usually published 3-5 weeks after the last testing takes place. The testing period of the competitions EPSO/AST/129/13 ends on 28/03/2014.
