‘Dos & Don’ts’ for EPSO Testing

The following ‘Dos & Don’ts’ have been put together to bring your attention to some of the core aspects of the new testing environment and to ensure that candidates can have a positive testing experience.

The ‘Dos & Don’ts’, including the recommendations do not replace in any way the notice of competition, and the instructions issued by EPSO and by the test provider to candidates, before and during testing sessions. Candidates should always read those documents carefully and follow the instructions and information contained.

Make sure your equipment is ready!

Always double-check the technical requirements.

  • Download and install the latest version of the TestWe application via the link provided in the email you will receive from the test provider.
  • Perform the mandatory technical prerequisite check early, before the deadline, using the same computer, network, and location as the ones you are planning to use on the day of your test. This will ensure the best possible experience.
  • Disable any firewalls or antivirus software for the duration of the test.
  • You can read more about IT and technical requirements on our dedicated page: IT and technical requirements for online testing with EPSO’s new provider | EU Careers (europa.eu)

  • Always use wired peripherals. Wireless/Bluetooth devices are not allowed.

Familiarise yourself with the platform.

  • Review the TestWe User Guide and practice test navigation in the 'Training' section of the application. (Only made available to candidates)

Respect the testing rules.

  • Keep the camera focused on you and do not move away from the computer during the test.
  • Follow all on-screen instructions and the TestWe User Guide to avoid invalidation of your test.

Start on time!

  • Log in 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to complete the identity and environment verification.

Report issues promptly.
