Assistants in the field of communication

Do you have experience in the field of communication? Would you like to start an international career within a multicultural and diverse team? If yes, then read on.

The European institutions are looking for assistants (AST 3) in the fields of graphic design and visual content production, social media and digital communication, and webmasters.

Your main tasks will vary depending on the chosen field. Please note that you may only apply for one of the following fields:

  • Field 1 - Graphic design and visual content production: Your main tasks will include: ensuring the graphic design  of high-quality communication products across print and digital channels, media and languages; transforming data into clear and concise visuals; applying the institutional visual identity and communication guidelines; assisting with the implementation of the EU institutions’ communication strategies; using Adobe Creative Cloud, in particular Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and After Effects.
     
  • Field 2 - Social media and digital communication: Your main tasks will include: planning and producing social media audio and video content tailored to target audiences; setting up, monitoring, and measuring organic and paid social media campaigns; collaborating with internal editorial, social media, and data intelligence teams; monitoring and managing online communities and conversations; using social media tools such as Emplifi, Talkwalker, and other platforms to monitor and analyse performance.
     
  • Field 3 – Webmaster: Your main tasks will include: creating, managing, updating and monitoring the institution’s websites and intranets; creating multilingual and accessible web content; ensuring that content, structure and navigation adhere to industry-standard web technologies (i.e. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript); managing email subscription platforms and content management systems; translating business needs into technical requirements for developers; monitoring technological developments in the field.
