Praktika bei den Organen der EU sind eine Chance für Hochschulabsolventinnen und -absolventen. Dieser einzigartige Einblick in die Arbeit der EU-Organe zieht Bewerberinnen und Bewerber aus der ganzen Union an. Sie finden europäische Politikgestaltung und internationale Beziehungen faszinierend? Sie wollen bei der Entwicklung von Strategien, die das Leben von Millionen Menschen beeinflussen, dabei sein? Dann bewerben Sie sich für ein Praktikum. Diese finden zweimal jährlich für eine Regeldauer von je fünf Monaten statt. EU-Praktika sind vergütet. Diese Vergütung unterscheidet sich je nach aufnehmender Einrichtung (ca. 1 300 EUR/Monat).
Was macht das Praktikum bei der EU aus?
Das Praktikum ist geeignet für Hochschulabsolventinnen und -absolventen, die sich mit den Kerntätigkeiten der Europäischen Union befassen möchten. Praktikantinnen und Praktikanten können in verschiedenen Organen, Einrichtungen und sonstigen Stellen der EU an Projekten arbeiten, die ihrem Fachwissen entsprechen. Die Praktika bieten wertvolle Einblicke in die Entscheidungsfindung und Politik der EU sowie Möglichkeiten zur Vernetzung, zum Sammeln von Erfahrungen in einem dynamischen und multikulturellen Umfeld und zur Entwicklung wertvoller beruflicher Fähigkeiten.
Das Praktikum kann in ganz unterschiedlichen Politikbereichen absolviert werden – von der öffentlichen Verwaltung bis hin zur Cybersicherheit, vom digitalen Wandel bis hin zu Gesundheitsfragen, vom Weltraumrecht über Wirtschaftspolitik bis hin zu Klimainitiativen. Weitere mögliche Arbeitsbereiche sind Übersetzung, Kommunikation, Humanressourcen und Diplomatie.

Who can apply:

To be eligible for consideration for this placement, you are required to:

- possess a university degree in the field specify on each vacancy (minimum of three years or more) that must have been obtained between 6 May 2024 and 6 May 2025 or be a university student on an Erasmus + or a similar programme or a PhD student or a Master's student with a previous fully finished degree in the areas mentioned before.

Traineeships - CEPOL
The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) is launching a call for applications for its traineeship programme for a period of six months for an intake in September 2025.
CEPOL's traineeship scheme targets university students or recent graduates with the interest in the work of our Agency.
The aim of the traineeship scheme is to benefit both parties – the Agency and the trainees – by giving university students or recent graduates their first experience of working for an EU body and assisting in the completion of specific tasks which are useful to CEPOL.
Trainees shall be nationals of the Member States of the European Union, Schengen Associated Countries or candidate countries benefiting from a pre-accession strategy.

Traineeships - EDA
EDA annually runs a Traineeship Programme aimed at recent university graduates who want to transition to the world of work in an organisation at the heart of defence cooperation in Europe.
An EDA traineeship will give you:
- a unique insight into the policies and processes for the development of European defence capabilities
- an opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired during your studies
- exposure to a multicultural and dynamic professional environment
What they look for
To be considered eligible, applicants must satisfy all of the following requirements by the deadline for submission of applications:
- Nationality: be a national of a Member States participating in the Agency;
- Educational qualifications: have completed at least the first (minimum three-year) cycle of a higher education course (university education) and obtained a full degree or its equivalent by the closing date for applications;
- Languages: applicants must have a very good knowledge of at least two participating Member States languages of which one must be English as it is EDA’s main working language. The knowledge of additional participating Member States languages is an asset;
- Background related to the EDA’s operational activities: educational background in a field relevant to the activities of the Directorate/Unit the trainee applies for and is allocated to;

Traineeships - EUROFOUND
Eurofound’s post-graduate traineeship programme is addressed to recent university graduates, without excluding those who – in the framework of lifelong learning – have recently obtained their university qualification and are at the beginning of a new professional career.
12 trainee profiles are offered in 2025 – 11 for placement in Research:
Working life: Industrial relations; Working conditions Survey 2024 – data analysis; Minimum Wage database; Social Dialogue Network; Social Dialogue Network / Communication; Working Time in Europe.
Employment: European Restructuring Monitor databases; Change (anticipating & managing impact);
Social policies: Living conditions & quality of life; Social cohesion & convergence; Surveys.
as well as 1 profile in the Information & Communication unit in the Web team.
Applications are valid until end of 2025. Shortlisted candidates may be contacted for online interviews, throughout the year, according to business needs.
Duration: 6-month traineeships are offered and can be extended up to a maximum of 12 months.
Grants: In the 2025 programme, Trainees are paid a monthly grant of €1,929.58.
Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for a graduate traineeship, you must:
- Be a national of a Member State of the EU.
- have a very good knowledge of at least two EU languages, of which one should be English - the working language of Eurofound.
- Have recently obtained a university degree.
Trainees do not benefit from sickness insurance. Before the start of your traineeship, you must prove you are covered by a sickness and accident insurance.
Traineeships are not offered to applicants who have already been a trainee or an employee in a European institution or body, for more than six weeks.

The EIT is now launching a call for application for its traineeship programme for a period of six months for an intake at the beginning of 2025.
The trainee will support the daily operations of the Directorate & Administration as well as the Innovation, Education & Communication and the Knowledge and Innovation Communities Departments.
The place of employment will be Budapest, Hungary, where the EIT Headquarters are located. For the case of the Communication & Engagement Unit, there is a possibility for one of the trainees to be assigned to work from the EIT Liaison Office in Brussels, Belgium.

The CBE JU operates a traineeship programme. The programme gives trainees an understanding of the CBE JU and its role within the activities of the European Union, enables them to acquire practical knowledge of the CBE JU and obtain professional experience in the course of their work.
The CBE JU wishes to host two trainees to support the Programme Unit and one trainee to support the Communications team.
