If you work for an EU institution that uses SYSPER, the SYSPER eCV button will redirect you to SYSPER to be able to copy and paste information, but it does not allow for an automatic data transfer into your CV in the Single Candidate Portal. You will have to copy and paste information manually.
Can I upload data from SYSPER to my CV in the Single Candidate Portal?
I have a temporary contract with the EU institutions. Can I transfer the data from my internal profile in the Single Candidate Portal to a new external one?
No. It is impossible to transfer the data from one profile to another. If you have a temporary contract and wish to apply through an external account, you will need to create a new account and re-enter your data manually.
I already work for the EU institutions. Should I apply with my internal EU LOGIN?
- You have a permanent contract as an EU official: you must use your current corporate (internal) EU LOGIN for your application via the Single Candidate Portal.
- You have a temporary contract as EU staff: you must create a new EU LOGIN, using a private e-mail address. Important: you must also use a personal computer device, otherwise, your professional computer device will use your corporate (internal) EU LOGIN by default.
How can I create an EU Login account?
At the bottom of How to create an EU LOGIN account page, you will find useful information for candidates about their EU Login account. For further information please also check the EU Login Help page.
How to upload supporting documents in the Single Candidate Portal?
Information on how to upload supporting documents in the Single Candidate Portal is available at How to set up your profile and your CV (in particular fig. 4, 6 and 8). All supporting documents must be attached to the CV (and not the application) in your Single Candidate Portal profile at the latest by the deadline mentioned in the Notice of Competition.
Details on the supporting documents to be uploaded can be found in the General Rules governing open competitions attached to the Notice of Competition.
For more information please read: Which supporting documents should I provide?
Should you also have an EPSO Account, please note that no documents should be uploaded and linked in your EPSO Account.
Can I take the online tests from anywhere in the world?
Candidates can take the tests from anywhere in the world as long as the environment requirements as laid out in the instructions for online testing are fulfilled.
Please note that the timing of the tests cannot be modified, so candidates in other time zones might have to take the tests during the night.
Candidates in other time zones also have to make sure that their computer’s date and time settings match their current time zone in order for the TestWe application to show the correct timing of the tests.
Can I still modify the languages in which I will take the online tests?
Once the deadline for applications has passed, the application form can no longer be amended. This also applies to the choice of languages.
For this reason, candidates should read the Notice of Competition thoroughly and think carefully about which languages they choose.
In which language should I fill out my application?
The application can be filled out in any of the 24 official EU languages.
Do I have to relocate to Brussels or Luxembourg to work as a translator?
Officials recruited to work for the EU Institutions must relocate to their place of employment. Permanent telework from outside the place of employment is not allowed. Telework from home is granted based on the needs of the service.
Will candidates be allowed to use dictionaries during the tests?
Candidates will not be allowed to use paper or online dictionaries during testing. The language-related tests for this competition have been duly adapted to take this into account.
