Job description
European Parliament ushers generally assist Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and other dignitaries during the institution’s plenary sessions, at meetings of parliamentary bodies and during other parliamentary events.
They ensure the respect of rules and the observance of security principles.
Ushers’ duties also include preparing and monitoring meeting rooms; accompanying and assigning a seat to MEPs, VIPs or other visitors; performing ceremonial tasks in cooperation with the protocol service.
