Online Testing – What you must know

EPSO currently works with two different service providers for online testing. Please make sure you know which provider is responsible for delivering the tests in your selection procedure.

You will receive final and detailed technical instructions for online testing with your invitation letter via the Candidate Portal.

Before Starting Your Test

You will first need to complete an environmental check. This step ensures the integrity of the session and the reliability of results by confirming that:

  • You are alone.

  • You do not have any non-permitted documents or objects around you.

Provider-Specific Technical Requirements

Please review the technical requirements clicking on the logos below, depending on which provider is assigned to your selection procedure:

Testing with OAT          Testing with TestWe

EPSO is not in a position to change these requirements which are directly linked to the intrinsic features of the testing application made available by the test provider.

General Requirements (valid for both providers)

Before your test, make sure that:

  • You have administrator rights on your computer (to install the testing application).

  • Any firewalls or antivirus software that could block the application are temporarily disabled.

  • Your internet connection is stable, especially during login, exam list synchronisation, and test submission.

  • You have a valid ID (name and photo on the same side, clearly readable during check-in).

  • Your webcam and microphone (built-in or external) are working and remain active throughout the test.

  • You are alone in a quiet, well-lit room and will not be interrupted during your session.

  • You follow all on-screen instructions carefully — failing to do so may invalidate your test.

  • You check what is allowed and what is not allowed before your session.

  • You read the Privacy Statement for online testing.
