EPSO’s Management Board (composed of our institutional clients) met in Luxembourg on 21 June, to consider several proposals as regards the way forward for EPSO’s new competition model. The Management Board had a cautiously positive response to EPSO’s proposals, but raised a number of questions focusing on possible legal risks, requesting further reflection.

EPSO’s director was mandated by the Management Board to launch a reflection exercise involving the legal adviser of EPSO’s director and the legal services of the European Parliament, the European Commission, the Council of the EU, and the Court of Justice. This ‘legal reflection’ will be launched as soon as possible, with the objective to provide further guidance on the legal risks, at the latest by the next meeting of EPSO’s Management Board, planned for October 2022.

In the meantime, EPSO will continue to introduce innovative selection methods and processes with a view to making our competitions simpler, shorter and more accessible to all.
