I already work for the EU institutions, but my contract is about to end. Will I lose access to my account in the Single Candidate Portal?
Question categories:
- You have a temporary contract with an EU institution that uses SYSPER, and your contract ends before the conclusion of the competition: you must activate the ‘EU LOGIN for life (EUL4L)’ via SYSPER to keep the access to your internal account.
- If you have a temporary contract with an EU institution that does not use SYSPER (for example, the European Court of Justice, the European Parliament, the Committee of the Regions, or the European External Action Service), you need to access JSIS (Joint Sickness Insurance Scheme) and create an external EU Login account. During this process, your account is verified and officially linked to your Personal ID (PerID) by your institution (your account in this phase is called “sponsored”). Once this is done, your account becomes an EUL4L (EU Login for Life) account, which allows you to retain access to the Single Candidate Portal even after your contract ends.
