Depending on the needs of the service, the daily work of a trainee would generally be equivalent to that of junior administrator officials at the beginning of their career e.g.: preparing meetings and drafting minutes, attending meetings of Coreper and Council preparatory bodies, researching on a particular project, translating documents, compiling documentation, writing reports. Trainees will also be invited to participate in a study programme that includes visits and conferences at other EU institutions in Brussels, Luxembourg and Strasbourg.

Who can apply: EU nationals who, by the deadline for submitting applications, have completed at least the first part of their university studies and have a degree certificate or equivalent.

Duration: 5 months.

Paid: Yes. €1 376.88 net per month, reimbursement of travel allowance and GSC restaurant reduction card.

The European Union Agency for Asylum offers a traineeship contract of 6 months, renewable for a maximum of another 6 months.

Who can apply?
        Citizens of an EU Member State or of a Schengen associated country (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland)
        Recent university graduates and university students enrolled in a higher education course and having completed at least three years of studies before starting the traineeship. 
        Candidates should have a minimum level B2 of the (Common European Framework for Languages) in English.

What is the start date of the traineeship?
       A traineeship can start on the 1st or the 16th of any month, first intake begins on 1^st March 2026.

What is the duration of the EUAA traineeship?
      The initial traineeship contract is up to six months and may be renewed for a maximum of another six months. The maximum duration of a traineeship is 12 months.

MEPs may offer paid traineeships at their offices in the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels (or Strasbourg) based on an agreement with the European Parliament.

The MEPs’ traineeships may be undertaken in a wide variety of fields. The Member of Parliament who awards the traineeship will assign specific tasks to be completed during the traineeship.

Who can apply

• be aged 18 or over (derogations from this age limit can be granted in response to a duly substantiated request);
• be nationals of a Member State of the European Union or an accession/candidate country. Nevertheless, Members may offer a traineeship to nationals of third countries, provided they comply with visa requirements;
• have obtained a secondary-school leaving certificate corresponding to the level required for entry to university, or have followed a higher or technical course of study to an equivalent level, or have obtained a university diploma;
• have a thorough knowledge of one of the official languages of the European Union;
• not be party to an employment contract or any working contractual relationship during their traineeship;
• not have carried out a previous traineeship with a Member, nor have previously worked as a parliamentary assistant to a Member, whether local or accredited.

Duration: between six weeks and five consecutive months, and is decided by the Member of Parliament who awards the traineeship. It can start at any time during the year.

Paid: between EUR 921 and EUR 1510 for a full-time traineeship.

L'ERCEA accoglie tirocinanti Blue Book per 5 mesi di tirocinio retribuito (2 sessioni l'anno che iniziano a marzo e a ottobre). Ogni anno si aprono fino a 10 posti per tirocinanti in vari settori, tra cui:

Chi può candidarsi:

• Cittadini di uno Stato membro dell'Unione europea (un numero limitato di posti è assegnato anche a cittadini di paesi extra UE) che abbiano compiuto 18 anni.
• I candidati devono avere un livello di studi corrispondente a un ciclo completo di studi universitari certificato da un diploma di laurea (conseguito in uno Stato membro dell'UE o provvisto di un certificato di equivalenza rilasciato dalle autorità di uno Stato membro), quando la durata normale di tali studi è di tre anni o più.
• I candidati non devono aver già beneficiato o beneficiare di qualsiasi tipo di tirocinio nell'ambito di un'istituzione o di un organo dell'Unione europea, né essere impiegati in alcun modo presso un'istituzione o un organo dell'Unione europea per una durata superiore a 6 settimane.
• I candidati devono avere un'ottima conoscenza di due lingue ufficiali dell'UE, una delle quali deve essere una lingua di lavoro: inglese, francese o tedesco a livello C1 o C2 del quadro comune europeo di riferimento per le lingue e una seconda lingua almeno a livello B2 del quadro comune europeo di riferimento per le lingue. Ai cittadini di paesi extra UE è richiesta una sola lingua di lavoro, a livello C1 o C2.
