Can you tell us about your professional journey?
My journey started as a veterinarian, driven by a love for animals. During my studies, and especially during my PhD, I discovered that infectious diseases, epidemiology and data analysis were my true passion and powerful tools for informing policy. After several years of research in different parts of the world, I joined EFSA in 2021.
What does your work at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) involve?
At EFSA, I help turn data into knowledge that protects animal and public health across Europe. My work allows me to combine my scientific background with data analysis and contribute to evidence that can inform policy and support decision-making.
