Having seen firsthand how fragmentation in the sector can hinder progress, I became a knowledge management specialist 17 years ago to connect stakeholders and unlock shared insights.
How would you describe your experience of working at CINEA?
Joining CINEA felt like a full-circle moment in my career, as it allows me to merge my deep sectoral experience with my passion for turning research into impactful, actionable knowledge.
How would you describe the working environment at CINEA?
At CINEA, we bridge the gap between research, policy, and practice. I am thrilled to support the project consortia, who develop cutting-edge innovations that directly improve citizens’ lives. My goal is to ensure that research does not stay on the shelf but instead empowers every stakeholder—from construction workers to architects, local policymakers to EU decision-makers—to make evidence-based choices that benefit us all.
Is there a project, achievement or moment at CINEA that you are particularly proud of?
I am particularly proud of representing CINEA in the Horizon Europe Partnership Built4People. The built environment is central to many EU policy objectives — from climate adaptation in homes and cities, resource efficiency and circularity, and energy, to defence, critical infrastructure, affordable housing, competitiveness, and the challenges linked to an ageing workforce, robotics and AI. While many partnerships focus on a single dimension, Built4People stands out for its ambition to connect these different strands, which are often fragmented even across EU institutions.
If you had to describe CINEA in three words, what would they be, and why?
Collaborative, value-driven, expertise. Because CINEA is built on an exceptional team spirit, guided by high ethical standards, and strengthened by the remarkable expertise that each colleague brings.
