New application process for EPSO selection procedures

Starting in 2025, EPSO will use a new online system for all those interested in applying to its open competitions.

The new system, known as the Single Candidate Portal, will allow candidates to create and manage their Account/My Profile more easily. One of the important features of the new system is that it will provide candidates with the possibility of reusing their CV-related information every time they wish to apply to a new competition, for instance.
Candidates will also be able to upload documents (e.g., diplomas, certificates, etc.) only once.

To use the new system, prospective candidates must first create a so-called external EU LOGIN.

EPSO encourages all interested persons to create already now their EU LOGIN in preparation for the launch of the new application system in 2025.

EPSO will provide additional information about the Single Candidate Portal in early 2025.

What you should know about EU LOGIN

EU LOGIN is the European Commission's user authentication service. The EU LOGIN account, composed of an email address, a username, and a password, allows authorised users to access several online services.

To access the Single Candidate Portal and to be able to apply to EPSO competitions, candidates must first create an external EU LOGIN account.

How to obtain an external EU LOGIN account?

If you are currently working for the EU it is likely that you already have a so-called professional EU LOGIN. In that case, you must NOT create an external EU LOGIN. Candidates who already have a professional EU LOGIN should ONLY use that EU LOGIN.

To create an account you need:

  • a mobile phone number
  • access to a computer, laptop or tablet
  • a private email address (e.g. gmail, hotmail, etc.)

Important: when creating your EU LOGIN you must use real and correct personal data. Your first name and your last name will be used to create your external EU LOGIN and will be important identifying elements of your Account/My Profile. You will not be able to edit this information yourself once done. To change personal data, you will have to make a specific request, and this will not be immediate.

This online guide provides step-by-step information to help you create your EU LOGIN account.
